British holidaymakers are cruising through the credit crunch, with trips by sea on the increase. The cruise holiday sector is set to rise by 14% this year, with American ships proving particularly popular with Britons, according to cruise retailer Cruise118.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia Ltd (CBA) chief executive Ralph Norris says the credit crunch, which dragged on the bank's full-year earnings, is likely to last another 12 to 18 months.
